Measuring and Understanding Trust in Motion: Behavioral Archetypes in Human-Automated Guided Vehicle Interactions

Abstract

A virtual manufacturing study compares behavioral patterns and subjective trust ratings during interactions with automated guided vehicles. Behavioral clustering identifies Skeptical and Deliberate groups that differ from groups based on self-reported trust, suggesting that robot adaptation should account for both observed behavior and subjective assessments.
